Interactive 3D map of the Port of Gävle

Vidéa was commissioned by the Port of Gävle to visualize their future investments in logistics and energy in the form of an interactive 3D map.

We built a stylized 3D world, based on the actual port area, where the user can rotate the map, click on info points and access information, images and illustrations, directly in the browser on both mobile and desktop. To create life and movement, we animated vehicles, ships and clouds that give a vivid feeling without taking focus from the content.

In the latest update, we've also added a cinematic intro directly in the map, complete with English speaker and Swedish subtitles. By animating camera movements directly in the 3D environment, we can create movie-like sequences without having to load video files or heavy graphics. It provides fast loading, low file size and maximum flexibility, perfect for the web and future content updates.
